How to Use
Engage with Industry is a professional development platform for curating original and published recordings, live sessions, and print materials for Penn State faculty and staff who interact with industry. It is a collaborative effort, led by the Corporate Engagement Center, with a goal of sharing best practices for interacting with industry. Check back often as new materials are developed.

The firm that made the recommendations leading to the partnership between the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations to establish the Corporate Engagement Center will speak on national trends in corporate engagement and provide insight into best practices for partnering with industry for philanthropic investment.

Industry representatives from Wabtec, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Volvo North America, and Verizon offer viewpoints on academic collaborations
Session 3: Lessons Learned in Successful Corporate Engagement at Penn State
Three university-industry relations specialists speak about their experiences at Penn State. Panelists will provide concrete examples of successful industry engagements and provide insight into what makes for success.
Session 4: Intellectual Property and Tech Transfer at Penn State
Tim Hurley, Interim Assistant Vice President for Research and Director of Technology Management, answers "What is Intellectual Property?", "How Does Penn State Protect Intellectual Property?", and discusses Penn State Intellectual Property Policies

James Delattre, Associate Vice President for Research and Director of Office of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization, discusses corporate interactions with students and startups and Innovation Park and entrepreneurship
